About the Guards
Our guards range in experience from 1 or 2 years to 15+ years of security experience, from a variety of backgrounds including military, law enforcement, and fire department. All of our guards undergo rigorous physical and technical training upon hiring, so as to meet the guardNOW standard.

All guardNOW guards are required to undergo security guard training. Some of the areas the training covers include:

  • Powers to arrest (security guard roles and responsibilities) – 4 hours
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction & Terrorism Awareness – 4 hours
  • Public Relations (how to deal with the community and the customer) – 4 hours
  • Observation & Documentation (appropriate techniques in report writing) – 4 hours
  • Communication and its significance (who, what, where, when, why) – 4 hours
  • Liability & Legal Aspects (roles of the guard) – 4 hours
Armed guards are required to undergo the same training as unarmed guards and must also pass a course in the carrying and use of firearms. The course is typically 14 hours: 8 of those hours are in the classroom and 6 hours take place on the shooting range.
Background checks are conducted through a third party that does fingerprinting through both the California Department of Justice (DoJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). To work as a security guard, all employees must be at least 18 years old and cannot have any felonies.

About our Services
We primarily provide security and event management services. We will monitor and report all illegal and unpermitted activity and contact police authorities, if necessary. We can manage the guest list for your party, escort uninvited attendees off of the premises, and help you with seating arrangements for your seminar or conference.
A question that’s commonly asked by many people is how many security guards that they should have for their event. It’s a legitimate one, as it can often be very challenging to determine just what might be an appropriate number of guards to have in order to keep the event in order and to keep your risk to a minimum.
Our standard guard uniform is a red long-sleeve woven shirt with black slacks, with a black belt and black shoes. The guards all wear a security officer badge on their shirts. Other uniforms we also have available are a black blazer (for formal events) and a red polo shirt.
We charge $249 for a standard 4 hours of unarmed security service, and $299 for armed. All of our guards are licensed and insured against liability arising from fire.

Many problems can arise during your events, and having a properly-trained security guard will help to avoid these problems from arising. These problems include uninvited attendees, theft/vandalism of your property and the property of your neighbors, traffic jams and accidents on your street, fights/acts of violence, escorting unruly guests off of the property, etc.
If your order is placed with two weeks’ advance notice, we can typically provide a bilingual guard for your event. Please enter your request in the “details of security service” section of the order form and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

We currently accept Visa, American Express and Mastercard. All orders placed over the phone or online are digitally encrypted and safe.
All taxes are included in the final price of your order.
All of our orders are processed and confirmed in advance, so you have the comfort of knowing it is set. We do not accept payment on site or after the job.

It really depends on the area. If you are on private property, you are allowed to enforce parking by towing the vehicle. Certain HOA’s have their own rules that must be followed and citation may be giving, which can be enforced through assessments.
We do our best to be eco-friendly. We try to use vehicles that require less gas, and on big jobs our guards transport in one vehicle to lessen our ecological footprint.
That question is best answered on a case by case basis. Typically if someones life is in jeopardy or someone will not leave a private property, a guard may use force to escort a person out.
